I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and a bulging disk for several years now. I was going to a chiropractor who used electric acupuncture and minimal physical adjustments. Recently she wished to do acupuncture that is more aggressive with me and it was not agreeing with me. I was feeling worse. I had read about Dr. Bo in the Lincoln Women's magazine and was interested in his practice since that time. I decided there was no time like the present to make an appointment. I am taking the Fish Oil he recommended and I noticed a difference as soon as I started the first bottle. I now only have occasional pains, which come and go. I enjoy swimming and am a swim instructor part time in the evenings in addition to my other job. I have been able to increase my laps each week and by the end of the summer, I will be back up to a mile. This has been a goal I have been unable to reach since I was diagnosed with the Fibromyalgia about 6 years ago. I simply did not have the energy to make it. I have also been able to lose one size so far. I am a believer in Jesus Christ and Dr. Bo's prayers have blessed me during adjustments. I was concerned that his adjustments would be too physically painful, but her is very gentle and just seems to know how my body is doing and what I need as soon as he begins the adjustment. I know the Lord works through him and I pray He continues to bless Dr. Bo and his practice. I enjoy visits to his office, his staff is always kind and friendly and welcoming. Dr. Bo cares about your physical well-being and your spiritual well-being and knows how to help in both areas. Go Dr. Bo!---D. Schellhorn
As a professional yoga instructor and long-time Pilates practitioner, I had used up all the tools in my tool kit to relieve my searing back pain before coming to see Dr. Bo. The pain radiated from my lower back, up the entirety of my spine, and kept me awake many nights. Before my first appointment, I wasn't sure where to turn to ease the pain or where its source lay. After receiving a recommendation from a fellow yoga practitioner, I made an appointment to see Dr. Bryson, admittedly with some skepticism, knowing not every physician offers holistic care to mind, body and spirit. My concerns were allayed right away in meeting with Bo, sensing his kind heart and healing spirit. He pinpointed my pain right away, and after two appointments with stretching and adjustment, I was pain-free, sleeping through the night. He encouraged questions, offered clear explanations and gave me a medication-free resolution to the deep pain I was unable to resolve on my own. I would (and have) encouraged my family and friends to visit with him about chronic pain or health, generally. His approach is open, intuitive and rare. Scoop him up, he is a gem! L. Munger
Two months ago my back pain had become so painful that I started looking for a chiropractor here in Lincoln. Visiting the University's health center was doing nothing to alleviate my pain. I had friends refer me to two chiropractic practices here in Lincoln, but both places wanted contracts that lasted up to a year, and hundreds of dollars up front. Being a student, I had no insurance that covered chiropractic care, nor that kind of money to pay up front. I ended up searching out my own chiropractor that would work with me according to my situation. Upon finding Trinity Chiropractic, I was thrilled to see that I wasn't tied down to a contract, and that the rates for those without insurance are very reasonable, even for a student who has a family.
My favorite element of Trinity Chiropractic is Dr. Bo's willingness to listen. He has a kind and patient demeanor, and is willing to listen to you tell your story. I feel very comfortable with him as his bedside manner is exceptional. After 2 months I feel a hundred times better. Whereas before I was having difficulty walking and had a hard time getting out of bed, I am now able to do some light jogging on a daily basis, as well as hit the weight gym without feeling that my back is straining.
I highly recommend Trinity Chiropractic because of their ability to work with patients in any financial situation, willingness to listen, and superb knowledge and efforts to get your spine back into shape as soon as possible.---B. Yergensen
I first pulled a muscle in my low back in 1998 when lifting my one-year-old daughter. I have re-injured it 10-12 times over the years, and have spent from a few days on bed rest to several weeks recovering and being able to do "normal" things again i.e. carry laundry baskets, groceries, or just get into the car without feeling pain. I have seen several chiropractors in different parts of the United States (wherever we lived at the time) with some relief. My last chiropractor, before Dr. Bo, told me that my problem was tight muscles. So I started seeing a massage therapist twice a month which also helped, but I would still injure my back again. I was also getting acquainted with Flexiril and Ibuprofen to help me through the "injured" times. I had also been through two physical therapy sessions at different times here in Lincoln over the past eight years, and had begun to do some stretches and strengthening exercises they recommended about four years ago. In 2007 I had injured my back so badly (I needed help from my husband to walk and even fainted in the bathroom) that I got an MRI which stated I had a herniated disc between L4-L5. That was a long recovery.
In January, 2009, I injured my back at church while bending over to pick something off the floor (I thought I had developed better body mechanics), but alas! One month later while at a massage and feeling very discouraged, my therapist recommended Dr. Bo and even made the phone call while I was on her table. I went and was instantly at ease and at peace that this is where God was leading me. I got an adjustment and was much improved at the first visit. I had been reluctant to return to chiropractic care after not having much improvement or sustained back health when previously going.
Dr. Bo prayed with me the first visit and on successive visits as well. He is also trained in physical therapy and tailored my exercises and stretches to meet the needs of my back. I have learned that the health of my back is not dependant upon Dr. Bo. I have learned that I need to be regular in doing my stretching/exercises and even doing one or two stretches several times throughout the day (even at work) and especially after walking. Our bodies were created to move and be active. I thought walking around Holmes Lake once was good enough. It is better than nothing! But I can now walk 12 miles when preparing to walk the 1/2 marathon without pain. My back has been doing great for about a year now. Dr. Bo is an instrument, but God brings the healing, and I MUST BE RESPONSIBLE for my part in my back's good health. It is well worth the effort! I have found that having a goal is a great incentive for me to keeping up the exercises that my body needs. Goals such as walking the half marathon or hiking in the Grand Canyon.
I really appreciate Dr. Bo's committment to assisting each of his patients to better health, not just in the problem area, but as a whole person, and having the wisdom to be specific in his recommendations as to what is going to benefit YOUR body. Thanks so much Dr. Bo! ----T. Adams
I have been coming to Trinity Chiropractic since May of 2009. I had previously been to physical therapy (both land and water) and 2 other chiropractors. I found some temporary relief for my chronic pain ( neck, back, hip, pelvic area), but none lasting. In May I had been lying on ice packs, flat on my back for most of the day on most days unable to find relief.
I decided that I had had enough and started exercising regardless. I could only walk about 15 minutes, 2-3 days a week on a treadmill. A friend recommended Dr. Bo Bryson and even though chiropractic treatment hadn't brought me the results I was looking for before, I was in enough pain that I would give it "one more try". I began coming in a couple of times a week initially and now I come in for "maintenance" about once a month. I appreciate the customized individual treatment that I receive. The deep muscle tissue work/stretching has been most helpful and I have been give stretching exercises to do at home.
I am thrilled to say that I can not only walk 40-90 minutes, 6 days a week, but I can even run! I am lifting free weights again, which I haven't been able to do for years and I am loving it! I am in better shape and have more energy at age 42 than I ever thought I could. I just want to say thank you or giving me help and tools to gain strength and do the things I love to do. My husband and five kids thanks you as well!
Side note: One of my children has recently been treated by Dr. Bryson for chronic bed wetting. We have tried everything else and I mean everything! Prescriptions, alarms, waking the child to no avail. After only a few treatments, we have gone from 7 wet nights a week to maybe 1 or 2, if that many. This has been a problem from grade school straight into middle school (you know how embarrassing that can be) and we have finally found our solution through treatment at Trinity. Thanks so much! --- Christine Cornwell
When I'm under a great deal of stress, I feel it in my neck, shoulders, and back. Like many people, I was skeptical of chiropractors and what they do. Finally, my daughter convinced me to see Dr. Bryson. I walked out of the office after my first visit and was so AMAZED at how much better I felt. I wanted to stop strangers on the street and tell them about the experience. I didn't realize how bad I felt until I started feeling good. Dr. Bryson is so kind, caring, and professional, as is his office staff. Trinity Chiropractic has been a real blessing in my life and I will recommend him to others. -- E Collins
I first went to see Dr. Bo in March 2009, upon the recommendation of my family practice physician. I had been struggling with unexplained dizziness for about 8 months and daily headaches for as long as I could remember. I was taking Advil for the headaches daily - sometimes 9-12 pills per day! After going to ENT specialists, a neurologist, a rhematologist and a couple of family practice doctors, no one had any great explanation for the dizziness. Dr. Bo was recommended as someone who could help. I was initially very wary of going to a chiropracter - I had a crazy fear of the whole neck adjustment - the idea of it really freaked me out! Dr. Bo didn't laugh at me when I explained this unfounded fear - he totally understood and said I wasn't the first one to be afraid! So, he took it very slow with me and waited two weeks before doing a neck adjustment on me. I really appreciated that. When it did come time for the neck adjustment, he talked through what he was going to do beforehand, which again, I really appreciated. The actual adjustment was quick and painless and really the only wierd part was the cracking sound!! The point is, Dr. Bo made me feel very comfortable and safe. The best part is, I haven't had a headache for a week now and the dizziness seems to be better, too! In addition, Dr. Bo has inspired me to do better with my eating and to become more physically active. It's all about taking care of this one and only body we have for optimum health. With Dr. Bo's help, I am commited to becoming healthier and pain free! Thank you, Dr. Bo, for everything! - M. Hoile
I first was referred to Dr. Bo by my midwife. I was having terrible leg pain in my 3rd trimester of my 2nd pregnancy. I did not want to take anything for the pain, I just wanted it to go away. Dr. Bo did not tell me that it would take a life time of adjustments to make me better - he educated me. He got to the root of the problem by teaching me proper posture, stretching and the proper seat position for my car (As I was commuting 2 hours a day). After three appointments, he relieved my pain, taught me how to reduce the pain by stretching and even gave some tips to my husband on how to help me relieve the leg pain. After my second son was born, he had terrible tummy problems. I was nursing and had to eliminate milk, soy, nuts, eggs, and he was still not better. So I called Dr. Bo. The first thing he did for my son was pray for him! What an awesome feeling to have our Great Physician in the room guiding Dr. Bo! Dr. Bo helped me with some various health issues with my son. And each time he reminded me who our ultimate Healer was - and he continued to pray for us.
This last winter, I had a sinus infection I could not seem to kick, so I was referred to an ENT who began discussing surgery. Of course I was not interested in that. But, since I am no longer working in Lincoln, I decided to try a different local Chiropractor. Much to my disappointment, he took all kinds of x-rays, told me that I had a lot of problems and it would take months/years of adjustments to help. (WRONG) - so it was worth a trip back to Lincoln to See Dr. Bo again. He simply taught me some pressure points and reminded me again of Who truly heals us, and I have been sinus infection free since April!
Thanks Dr. Bo! Even though I don't see you on a regular basis... You're healthy living tips are a regular at our house! We are all doing GREAT!
We are truly a healthy & happy family! ~M. Fehlhafer
I initially came to Trinity with back pain. I could barely walk. Dr. Bryson looked past my phyical pain and knew that I had deep emotional scars. Trinity is much different than any other office I have been to. Dr. Bryson prayed with me and genuinely cares about my health, both physically and spiritually. I was able to say to Trinity with belief that it will occur. Please pray that i will receive God's forgiveness. I so desire to forgive and move past things that have come to me while reading this book (Freedom through Foriveness)...but I can't, not without receiving it myself and I am struggleing with that. Also pray that I can open up and talk about this stuff...I want to badly. I haven't been able to yet but I do want to, I need to but something keeps holding me back. Thank you so much for everything I can't say thank you enough... I appreciate all of it a great deal. ---J Adcox
Nearly one year ago, I started to experience pain in my vaginal area as a considerably healthy 22 year old. I started down a long road of inconclusive lab work, rounds upon rounds of experimental medications, and countless exams with doctors who made me feel like I was a) crazy b) seeking drugs c) just being a melodramatic young woman…the list goes on. I felt as though even those who loved me most didn't understand. I was diagnosed with a complex disorder that accounts for significant pain and uncontrolled muscle spasms in the previously mentioned area. When my gynecologist of 30 years no longer knew what to do, I was referred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. After a few months, a few thousand dollars, and some relatively significant life changes, I was psychologically and physically debilitated. I had all but given up on the idea of a pain-free day and a normal life. After a recommendation from a coworker, I met Dr. Bo. For the first time, I had someone to listen, truly listen, to my story. The word "incurable" didn't seem to phase him and we started down a road to recovery, as opposed to finding a way to make it through the day. For the first time, I met a doctor whom wanted me to have my life back. He was the first doctor to try something new; something that perhaps catered to only me as a patient. I think we both learned a great deal. At this point in my life, I'm taking pre-med classes in hopes of changing lives the way that Dr. Bo changed mine. I've learned from Dr. Bo what it means to be a doctor, and more importantly, a healer. Thank you to Dr. Bo and Stephanie for your care, your warmth, your willingness to take a chance. Thanks for listening, for the laughs, and for giving me hope. ~H. Berney
After months of agonizing low back and hip pain during pregnancy, I decided to go to Trinity Chiropractic for help. My doctor (MD) told me to "adjust" to the pain because there was nothing he could do for me during pregnancy. My first visit at Trinity was amazing. They were cheerful and upbeat. They were patient with the insurance problems and thoroughly answered my questions. And, to the surprise of my MD, they were able to relieve my back and hip pain.
I continued treatments throughout my third trimester. After my baby was born my hip pain become much more severe. I also developed wrist pain so severe that it hurt to hold my baby. The MD told me he could prescribe medicine. Because I was breastfeeding, I didn't want to take the pills. Dr. Bryson adjusted my wrist one time and the pain went away. And my hips are much better after being shown specific stretches. I would advise everyone to try chiropractic treatment. I trust Trinity Chiropractic, even if you have been to other offices and not found relief-try this office! It's worth it!
Thanks for your help! Because of you I am a better woman and mom! ~ A. McFarling
